Can’t send Instagram gift box messages?

Here are some possible fixes if you can’t send Instagram gift messages:

Update Your Instagram App

In most cases, not having the most recent version of the Instagram app is the cause of problems with sending gift messages. If that’s the case, head into your phone’s app store and download the latest version. 

Switch Account Type

It has been reported that some business accounts do not support the gift message feature. Therefore, changing from a business to a personal account will allow you to fix the problem. Here’s how you can do that:

 

  1. Tap the three vertical lines in the top right corner of your profile page when you’re in the account section. 
  2. Go to the Settings menu. 
  3. Tap the Account option and then tap the Switch Account Type. 
  4. Click the option to Change to Personal Account.

Make Sure You’re Connected to the Internet

 If your phone’s internet connection is unstable or down, you could have trouble sending direct messages. Check to see that your internet connection is functioning properly, and then give it another shot.

Try It Out With Another Device

If none of the aforementioned solutions work, you may always test the function on a different device to see if it makes a difference. After logging into your account on another device, simply follow the steps outlined above to resend the message.
